Is WidgetWire free?
Your first widget is free to make and keep. For more, WidgetWire Pro is $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year in the US, with a one-week free trial. Apple handles the subscription, so you can cancel any time in your Apple account settings.
Do I need a spreadsheet, or to write code?
Neither. Type your own text and numbers, and style everything visually. Custom JSON layouts are an optional power tool, never a setup step.
Can I connect a private Google Sheet?
Google Sheets must be shared with anyone who has the link. WidgetWire doesn't sign in to Google. Private JSON APIs can use a bearer token, custom header or query key stored in Keychain.
How often do widgets update?
iOS manages refresh timing, so updates aren't instant or on a fixed schedule. Turn on the refresh button to update from the widget itself and see when it last updated.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no WidgetWire account and no analytics in the app. Designs stay on your device, and data travels directly from your source. Privacy policy
